Karen’s background includes over 20 years’ experience with diverse clientele from corporate executives
to self-employed entrepreneurs. She has successfully supported organizations to improve the
performance of their people assets through coaching, restructuring, evaluation and strategic planning.   

She served as Director of Outplacement for an executive outplacement firm, successfully helping over
1,000 jobless executives find more meaningful and satisfying employment.  

She worked in training and development for a 600-employee manufacturing firm creating innovative
new training delivery systems that improved quality, customer satisfaction and reduced turnover.        

Karen is a speaker and retreat facilitator for groups including the Renaissance Executive Forum, Goshen
College Family Business Program and the Edward Lowe Foundation.  

Karen is a member of MHRA (Michiana Human Resources Association), and SHRM (Society for Human
Resource Management), Michiana Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development and a
Board member of the Elkhart County Council on Aging.

She received her graduate degree with high honors in the masters program for counseling and human
services from Indiana University, and her undergraduate degree in education from Goshen College.
